Chinese Version of Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (2019) Released in Chengdu

为迎接全国减灾防灾日，提高孩子们的安全意识与应急避险能力，确保儿童能在灾难发生时获得有质量的援助。2022年4月28日，《2022年“防灾减灾千场科普讲座”公益活动启动仪式暨<人道主义行动中儿童保护的最低标准（2019年版）发布会>》在成都分会场（锦江区锦华路街道“爱乐园”）如期举行。

On May 28^th, 2022, the Launching Ceremony of 1000 Science Lectures on Disaster Prevention and Reduction in 2022 for public welfare, as well as the press conference of the Chinese version of Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (2019) was held in Chengdu branch venue as scheduled (“Ai Le Yuan”, Jinhua Road, Jinjiang District). The grand gathering is aimed to mark the National Day of Disaster Reduction and Prevention and to raise children’s safety awareness and emergency capability, so as to ensure that children can receive guaranteed assistance in face of disasters.

发布会以“线上直播+线下会议+配套活动”的方式进行，北京和成都连线，同步举行了《人道主义行动中儿童保护的最低标准（2019年版）》中文版和防灾减灾知识平台的正式发布；随后，应急管理部自然灾害防治研究院申旭辉研究员以“与张衡一号卫星同行二十年”为题进行了核心科普讲座。

The press conference was held by combining live streaming and offline meeting with supporting activities. During the live streaming, the Chinese version of Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (2019) and the platform presenting knowledge about disaster prevention and reduction were officially released, simultaneously in Beijing and Chengdu. Next, Shen Xuhui, a researcher from the National Institute of Natural Hazards of the Ministry of Emergency Management, gave a core science lecture on the topic of “Traveling with Zhang Heng-1 Satellite over 20 Years”.

线下会议，IACCR秘书长王憭做工作汇报，表彰了优秀志愿者，优秀志愿者代表宋雪瑛作了交流发言，最后四川省地震局公共服务处二级调研员应实做闭幕致辞。

In the offline meeting, Wang Liao, Secretary-General from IACCR, made her work report and honored outstanding volunteers, one of whom named Song Xueying made a speech on behalf of all the others. At last, Ying Shi, a secondary researcher from the Public Service Department of the Sichuan Earthquake Administration delivered a closing speech.

在“爱乐园”广场，承办方还设置了10个科普展台，配套开展了儿童应急救援宣传、防灾减灾救灾主题宣传、“平安逃生、自救大篷车”体验等活动，多维度对防灾减灾救灾及儿童保护进行延伸推广。

In “Ai Le Yuan” Square, the organizer also set up 10 science popularization booths, with which various activities were initiated to promote emergency rescue for children as well as disaster prevention, reduction and relief, and an opportunity was provided for people to experience how to “escape safely and utilize the self-rescue caravan”. In this way, concepts of disaster prevention, reduction and relief and child protection were furthered multi-dimensionally.

安全应急大篷车，将基地培训变为送训上门，通过移动式火灾逃生体验场馆，生动还原火灾的真实场景，为居民提供适应性训练，实现了知识记忆与日常行为习惯的有效转化。

The “self-rescue caravan” makes it a reality that professional training in the base can be accessible to ordinary people. The real fire scene can be vividly created in the mobile fire-escape venue, where residents are provided with adaptable training, effectively transforming knowledge and memory into daily behavior and habits.

互动体验“禁毒万里行飞行棋”游戏、18种仿真毒品模型展示等活动，在寓教于乐中让青少年认识了解毒品及其危害，从而拒绝和远离毒品，协力关爱青少年健康成长！

Teenagers also experienced interactive activities like a flying chess game themed on anti-drug and the exhibition of 18 simulated drug models. It is aimed to inform those teenagers of information and hazardous effects of drugs with interesting games, so that they may refuse and keep away from drugs and grow healthily in concerted efforts.

晨辉社区的王阿姨参加完活动，动情说到：“这样的活动真的是太好了，在为孩子们带来一份关注关爱的同时，也有利于增强大家的安全感和幸福感”。

Aunt Wang from Chenhui Community said emotionally after participating in these activities: “Amazing! It not only attracts attention and love to children, but also enhances everyone’s sense of security and happiness.”

锦华路街道关工委志愿者寿显萍，深有感触：能参与到儿童保护中来，我感到很自豪同时也深感责任神圣，愿意为儿童保护持续奉献自己的一份力量。

Shou Xianping, a volunteer of the Working Committee for the Care of Children from Jinhua Road, was deeply touched: “I am very proud of being involved in protecting children, meanwhile I willingly take the significant responsibility to continue my efforts in protecting our next generation.”

承办单位相关负责人表示，儿童是自然灾害及疫情等公共卫生危机中最脆弱的群体之一。期待通过《人道主义行动中儿童保护的最低标准（2019年版）》发布会以及相关配套活动，呼吁儿童保护工作者、志愿者和社会各界给予儿童充分的尊重和保护，希望有更多的人更多的力量参与到儿童保护中来，最终推动与实现儿童福祉的保护与提升！

The person in charge of the undertaking organization said that children are one of the most vulnerable groups in public health crises such as natural disasters and epidemics. The press conference of Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (2019) and related activities was launched to call on child protection workers, volunteers and people from all walks of life to respect and protect children to the full extent. What’s more, more and more people are expected to dedicate themselves to the career of child protection and finally to protecting and improving children's well-being!

     此次发布会是由应急管理部监测减灾司、中国地震局公共服务司指导，中国灾害防御协会主办，成都市锦江区委社治委、成都市锦江区民政局、成都市锦江区应急局、成都市锦江区妇联、成都市锦江区红十字会、成都市锦江区锦华路街道办事处、成都市锦江区爱有戏社区文化发展中心联合承办，并得到了四川省应急管理厅、四川省地震局、锦华路街道关心下一代工作委员会、共青团成都市锦江区锦华路街道工作委员会、锦华路街道新时代文明实践所以及锦华路街道社会工作服务站的大力支持。

The conference is guided by the Division of Disaster Monitoring and Reduction of the Emergency Management Department and the Division of Public Service of the China Earthquake Administration, held by the China Association for Disaster Prevention, and also co-organized by Social Governance Committee, Civil Affairs Bureau, Emergency Bureau, the Women’s Federation, the Red Cross, Jinhua Road Working Committee and Ai You Xi Community Cultural Development Center of Jinjiang District in Chengdu. What is notable is that the conference is fully supported by the Office of Emergency Management in Sichuan Province, the Sichuan Earthquake Administration, the Working Committee for the Care of Children in Jinhua Road, the Communist Youth League Working Committee in Jinhua Road of Chengdu Jinjiang District, the Institute of New-era Civilization Practice of Jinhua Road and Social Work Service Station of Jinhua Road.
